Come this Monday, the concluding chapter of 黄金路 will be aired on Channel 8.
It was the much talked about drama of 2007, featured many A-list actors/actresses and a story plot which journeyed through Singapore in the ’80s, ’90s, and present day.
After watching the 2nd last episode last night, many people have been wondering what will be the eventual fate of 金龙 (Li Nanxing), 凯杰 (Tay Ping Hui), 林菲 (Felicia Chin) and 笑姑 (Chen Liping).
So here are some possible endings to the final episode thought up by me. If they ever come true on Monday night. (remember you heard it first from mrchrispy.com.)
Ending #1 - 笑姑 is still in the zi char business
Seeing her 5 children torn apart over sibling rivalry, 笑姑 decided to relocate her zi char business to China and rename it from 幸福饭店 (Happy Restaurant) to 和平饭店 (Peace Hotel), hoping they will finally be able to live happily together under one roof.
Ending #2 - 金龙 becomes an entrepreneurAfter surviving a gun shot from 凯杰, 金龙 decided to turn over a new leaf and venture into the hawker business.
If you’re thinking it’s 干巴杀 (Wet market) that he is going to set up, you are absolutely wrong.
He decided to be entrepreneurial and started his own brand of Taiwanese sausages which eventually became a popular snack found in Pasar Malams (Night market) across Singapore.
Ending #3 - 金龙 decides to sell rice instead
金龙 realizes he still misses his sister 金凤 very much. With a little capital he got from his gangster triad, he ventures into the rice market selling 金凤牌香白米 (Golden Phoenix fragrant white rice).
Ending #4 - 林菲 becomes a music managerAfter divorcing with 凯杰, 林菲 enters the chinese music industry in Taiwan. She is now managing a band called 菲儿乐团 飞儿乐团 (F.I.R) and plans to co-host 综艺大哥大 (Variety Big Brother) with 张菲 very soon.
Ending #5 - 凯杰 is a wanted manAnd 凯杰? He is wanted by the police for allegedly selling illegal porn vcds (Of him and 金凤) outside MRT stations.
